PacifiCare to Cover for Exiting Health Agency

Santa Ana-based PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. said its unit in Washington agreed to provide replacement health care coverage for members of Foundation Health Systems Inc.’s QualMed Washington Health Plans, which plans to withdraw from the state by April 30. Terms weren’t disclosed.
PacifiCare said up to 64,000 QualMed commercial members will be able to select coverage through the PacifiCare of Washington managed-care unit from Jan. 1 to March 31.
