GAME OF THE WEEK

OTTAWA SENATORS AT PHOENIX COYOTES

When--Thursday. Time--7:30 p.m. TV--ESPN2.

Storyline--The Senators are one of three unbeaten teams. Their depth is allowing them to compensate for the absence of AWOL center Alexei Yashin: Marian Hossa has four goals, Radek Bonk and Daniel Alfredsson have each scored three, and the power play is seven for 19. The Coyotes are 0-1-1 without center Jeremy Roenick, who was suspended for five games by the NHL for high-sticking former prep school linemate Tony Amonte of the Blackhawks in the face. Roenick had a hearing with NHL Vice President Colin Campbell on Monday. Keith Tkachuk has yet to score, but the Coyotes’ defense has been solid, goalie Mikhail Shtalenkov has played well and they’ve killed 23 of 24 disadvantages.
