Brea elementary schools and Brea Junior High School might get a little financial boost from the state for construction projects if the school board comes up with matching funds.
The board voted Monday to have the district apply for building funds in a program that would provide half the costs of campus renovations to the district, so long as local schools pay for the rest.
Schools targeted for the program are Arovista, Laurel, Mariposa, Olinda, Wm. E. Fanning, Brea Country Hills elementary schools and Brea Junior High.
