Panthers Keep Winning

Pavel Bure had a goal and an assist as the unbeaten Florida Panthers defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 2-1, Tuesday night at Montreal.

Bure scored his third goal of the season in the first period and got career point No. 500 when he assisted on Lance Pitlick’s second-period goal.

The Panthers improved to 3-0-1, while Montreal fell to 1-4-0.

Washington 5, Philadelphia 4--Peter Bondra scored his 14th career hat trick, including the tying and winning goals 58 seconds apart late in the third period, to give the Capitals the victory over the winless Flyers at Washington.
