Man Found Fatally Shot Near Freeway

OXNARD — A 36-year-old Anaheim man was found shot to death in a field next to the Ventura Freeway early Friday, police said.
Adrian Torres died from multiple gunshot wounds in his chest, according to the Ventura County coroner’s office.
Shortly before 1 a.m., Oxnard Police Officer Tim Kelley found the victim lying against a wall near the Del Norte Boulevard onramp and Ventura Boulevard, Sgt. Marty Meyer said.
Kelley was on routine patrol when he stopped after spotting debris on the side of the road. He scanned the area with a spotlight and found the victim, Meyer said.
Neither motive nor suspects have been identified.
