PLACENTIA
The El Dorado Marching Band may get a fund-raising boost from the City Council for its upcoming trip to Australia. The band is scheduled to perform in the opening ceremonies of the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney. Council members are scheduled Tuesday to consider donating $1,000 for the trip.
In other business, the council will consider a plan to build a Wienerschnitzel drive-through restaurant on the southwest corner of Chapman Avenue and Murray Street.
The council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave.
