Fullerton Routs UNLV, 6-2

Cal State Fullerton rallied for six second-half goals to defeat host Nevada Las Vegas, 6-2, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s soccer game Sunday.

Marco Mesrobian scored first for the Titans in the 59th minute and added another goal four minutes later to tie it, 2-2.

Cal State Fullerton, which is in second place in the MPSF, scored three more times before the 71st minute, and got its last goal in the 88th minute.

Shanun Higgins, Colby Jackson, Rigo Pardo and Tim Donnelly completed the scoring for the Titans (11-3, 3-1).

Las Vegas is 5-8, 0-2.

In another conference game:

UC Santa Barbara 2, UC Irvine 1--Sean Herrity evaded three UC Irvine defenders to score in the 87th minute and lift visiting UC Santa Barbara.

Dominic Fratantaro scored for the Anteaters (5-8-1, 1-1).

In Big West Conference women’s soccer:

UC Irvine 3, Long Beach State 1--The Anteaters trailed 1-0 at the half but scored three second-half goals. Cindy Tredway scored two goals for host UC Irvine (6-7-2, 3-2-1).

Cal State Fullerton 1, Pacific 0 (OT)--Amy Barnes scored on a breakaway in the ninth minute of overtime for the Titans (6-10, 2-4).
