PLACENTIA
The Homeless Intervention Shelter of Placentia, or HIS House, will celebrate its 10th anniversary of serving the homeless of Orange County with a benefit dinner and auction Nov. 6 at the Placentia Presbyterian Church, 849 N. Bradford Ave. The shelter also will break ground on that day for an expansion and remodeling scheduled to begin this fall. Groundbreaking ceremonies will take place at 3 p.m. with the silent auction beginning at 4 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., and a live auction will begin at 7 p.m. featuring City Administrator Bob D’Amato as auctioneer.
Dinner tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. A table of 10 is available for $90. Admission to the auction is free. For ticket reservations call (714) 993-5774. For more information on the auction, call (714) 528-0148.
