The City Council waived almost $20,000 in field use fees for the Lake Forest Little League on Tuesday. The league plans to use El Toro Park II for the spring and winter baseball seasons.
The league has spent about $26,000 on improving the field, city reports said.
The league repaired fields and fences and installed batting cages, a backstop and new bleachers, a league report said. The league also added a $4,000 bat and helmet rack at a field at Rancho Canada Elementary School.
