SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Four people remained hospitalized in two counties Saturday after the van crash that killed seven members of an Eagle Rock Pentecostal church and injured seven others.

California Highway Patrol officials say it may take more than a week before they have finished the investigation into why the van driven by a church member swerved across the median and two lanes of traffic on an isolated stretch of U.S. 101 late Thursday before rolling over.

“There’s nothing more we haven’t already hashed out at this point,” CHP Officer Bob Mahon said Saturday.
