BUENA PARK
The Stage Stop Hotel, one of the oldest buildings in Buena Park, was bought by the city in 1997 for $199,100.
The City Council recently approved a budget of $427,000, based on the findings of a feasibility study, to rehabilitate the landmark. The exterior of the deteriorating building, which most historians say was built in the late 1870s or 1880s, will be restored to its original look.
City officials say construction should begin before the end of the year.
