HUNTINGTON BEACH
On a 6-0 vote, with Pam Julien absent, the council authorized the city to distribute proposal requests for a professional consulting firm to devise a way to inform the public about the need to spend $1.3 billion over the next 20 years to fix the city’s aging network of sewers, streets and sidewalks, among other things. No funds are needed to distribute the requests, but the city has set aside $200,000 for the consulting services.
