IRVINE
Supporters of Measure B, a ballot measure that proposes an annual $95 parcel tax to help Irvine’s ailing school district, have raised almost $135,000.
The campaign released its latest financial disclosure statements, which track donations of $100 or greater, on Friday. The documents include contributions and expenditures made by Oct. 16.
The list includes many contributions of $100 to $500 from residents and smaller businesses, but the Irvine Co., the city’s largest developer, topped the chart by giving more than $31,000 to the effort.
Several other developers and real estate companies, such as Beazer Homes California and Fieldstone Communities, also have sent checks for $2,500 to $5,000.
The committee spent most of the money on direct mailings, postage and printing costs.
