Life in the Fast Lane

Regarding “Some Commuters Give Close Shave a Whole New Meaning,” by Jeanne Wright (Your Wheels, Highway 1 Classified, Sept. 30):
One of the most bizarre drivers I have seen was early one morning on the inbound Interstate 5. Traffic was moving about 65 mph when I noticed this woman in the fast lane doing her toenails.
Her right foot was on the instrument panel, and she was applying polish with her right hand. The bottle was in her left hand, which was also steering. I guessed that her left foot was stretched across to the foot throttle.
She sped on ahead. I chose not to stay near her.
