THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

BREA

* Wildcat Way: A misdemeanor assault and battery was reported in the 3000 block at 11:52 a.m. Tuesday.

* West Juniper Street: A grand theft was reported in the 600 block at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Golden Lantern: An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 30000 block at 2:20 p.m. Friday. The victim reported that two men pounded on her back sliding-glass doors and pointed a gun at her. * Paseo de Alicia: A security officer at a store in the 27200 block saw a man concealing a pair of shorts under his pants in a dressing room. The man was detained outside the store at 11:08 a.m. Friday.

LAKE FOREST

* Jeronimo Road: Report of a smashed window at a business in the 25600 block and property taken at 12:20 a.m. Monday. The incident was caught on videotape.

* Lake Forest and Overlake drives: Deputies arrested a driver for driving under the influence after the driver failed a sobriety test at 12:20 a.m. Monday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Alicia Parkway: A man robbed Washington Mutual bank in the 23900 block at 5:20 p.m. Friday. The robber reportedly said he had a gun but didn’t display it or hurt anyone. As he was walking away, the dye pack in the money exploded. Some of the money taken was later recovered. The robber was described as in his 30s, between 6-feet and 6-feet-2, 230 pounds, with a full beard with white streaks, and wearing a blue baseball cap, green shorts and a green T-shirt. Deputies are investigating.

* Pacific Terrace: Cash, a cell phone and miscellaneous items were stolen from an unlocked car in an open garage in the 27000 block at 5:10 p.m. Friday. The loss totaled $255.

* Via del Sol: A man was arrested for driving under the influence in the 26000 block at 12:50 a.m. Friday.

ORANGE

* North Citrus Street: A drunk driver was reported in the 500 block at 1:03 a.m. Saturday.

* West Chapman Avenue: A motorcycle was stolen in the 2900 block at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

PLACENTIA

* North Kraemer Boulevard: A narcotics violation was reported in the 2000 block at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Yorba Linda Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 100 block at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Newport Avenue: A car was stolen in the 14000 block at 4:14 a.m. Tuesday.

* Beneta Way: A suspicious car was reported in the 1700 block at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday.

YORBA LINDA

* Prospect Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 4800 block at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday.

* Yorba Linda Boulevard: Arson was reported in the 21000 block at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday.
