Rehabilitation construction on two residential areas in the city is scheduled to begin in late January.
The City Council passed a resolution at Tuesday’s regular board meeting approving plans for the project, which includes two neighborhoods. Both areas are south of the Artesia Freeway, one between La Palma Avenue and Orangethorpe Avenue, the other between Western Avenue and Beach Boulevard.
As part of a 15-year plan, the Public Works Department is in its eighth year of reconstructing pavements, asphalt overlays, and wheelchair ramps, sidewalks, curbs and gutters. The estimated cost for this project is $968,300.
