MISSION VIEJO
City employees are getting ready for the annual weeklong fund-raising drive for the United Way that will kick off Monday.
Organizers have put together a number of games and events that employees can participate in all week to raise money for the charity. There will be activities and games, including an auction, sports bingo, a bake sale at the library and a pool tournament.
Last year, the city won the United Way’s platinum award for raising more money per person than any other city in the county.
