Lawyers for Beach Access surf shop owner Tom Moore and talk show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who accused Moore of carrying a pornographic magazine at his store, have agreed to meet in an attempt to resolve their dispute.
The incident occurred in late July when Schlessinger walked into the South Coast Plaza store with her son and saw a copy of Big Brother, a skateboarding magazine published by Larry Flynt, who also publishes Hustler magazine.
After seeing Big Brother, Schlessinger urged her listeners not to patronize the store. Moore said the magazine was on display where it was by accident, and he demanded an on-air retraction. Schlessinger has yet to do that.
A date for the meeting has not yet been arranged.
