FOCUS: ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY NEWS : LAGUNA WOODS
Two of Leisure World’s governing bodies in dispute over a proposed raise in monthly dues will finally meet, said John Fuller, treasurer of United Laguna Hills Mutual.
United, which manages the gated retirement community’s co-ops, has been overwhelmingly opposed to a proposed $5 increase in its monthly dues to help fund a proposed building project.
But the Golden Rain Foundation, which oversees the community’s amenities and committed to the project last month, is scheduled to approve its budget and the dues increase later this month, said Robert Ring, Golden Rain president.
The two groups have not met to discuss the budget.
“We’ve asked for discussion with them and haven’t been too successful until this point,” Fuller said. “The two groups have only been communicating through the press.”
