Delta Air Lines, following American’s and United’s lead last month, loosened its rules so that frequent-flier miles will stay “alive” as long as SkyMiles members fly on Delta or its partners, redeem miles or use the services of its car rental or other partners at least once every three years. Previously, only flying on Delta would keep miles from expiring. . . . Russia has announced it is forbidding foreign travelers to take foreign currencies out of the country. Visitors are allowed to take out only the cash they have brought in or received in bank transfers. Even money received from overseas accounts via Russian ATMs cannot be taken out. The rules are aimed at stemming capital flight.
