CALIFORNIA : PREVIEW : S. Korea Opposition Party Leader to Speak

Economic developments in financially resurgent South Korea will be among the topics addressed by former South Korean prime minister and current opposition party leader Lee Hoi Chang today in Los Angeles.

Lee also is expected to talk about the future of South Korea’s economy over the next several years and the prospects for improved relations with neighboring North Korea. Lee served as prime minister in 1993 and is president of the country’s main opposition Grand National Party.

Lee’s remarks are scheduled for 12:45 p.m. as part of a luncheon meeting organized by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council at the Hotel Inter-Continental downtown. For more information, call (213) 628-2333.
