Regarding Don Shirley’s Theater Notes column last Sunday:

Just to be clear, we didn’t just “run” the Musical Theatre Guild “for most of its history,” we founded the group, housed it in our home at no charge, donated most of our work and much, much more.

It hasn’t been easy, but we are extremely proud of the quality shows we produced. We not only gave 40-plus actors a place to showcase their talents, we produced three musical theater concerts, a fantastic series of living-room readings and, most important, 14 productions in the “Broadway in Concert” series at the Pasadena Playhouse.

We’re so thrilled that Reprise!’s Marcia Seligson has decided to revive our production of “Passion” for an additional performance on the Westside. We’re very sorry not to have been asked to be a part of it.
