The City Council recently approved spending $80,274 for a police training computer that simulates stressful police situations. The Range 2000 Use-of-Force Firearms Training System will allow the Police Department to create and edit just about any emergency situation and test officers’ actions. The department has rented a system for two weeks a year for the last eight years. The City Council approved the contract with IES Electronics Industries USA Inc.
