Kinko’s Hailed for Innovation
Ventura-based Kinko’s has been named a recipient of the 1999 CIO-100 award by CIO magazine.
The award, which is in its 12th year, recognizes 100 organizations around the world each year that show operational and strategic excellence.
“The transition into the new economy will be a painful one for many organizations,” said Abbie Lundberg, CIO magazine’s editor-in-chief. “Those that make it . . . must know their customers, leverage the Internet, invest in people, innovate like crazy and completely reinvent themselves if necessary.”
Kinko’s provides document copying and business services. It is a privately held corporation with more than 1,000 locations in nine countries and 25,000 workers.
Earlier this year, Kinko’s was named one of Fortune magazine’s top 100 companies to work for in America.
