Teachers Invited to Math Conference
The Ventura County Mathematics Council is sponsoring its fall conference Wednesday and invites local teachers to attend the afternoon event.
The conference will feature a “schoolyard math trail,” a math-land scavenger hunt for teachers, NASA activities, and information on grants and scholarships.
Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. and includes a $15 fee. The conference is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. and will be held at the Cowan Conference Center at Camarillo Airport.
The council’s mission, according to organization representatives, is to promote quality math education in the county.
