Alzheimer’s Assn. Chapter Receives Grants
The Ventura County Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Assn. has received three grants.
The Amgen Foundation awarded $25,000 to support “Caring for the Caregivers,” which aids family members struggling to take care of a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.
The Ventura County Community Foundation’s 1999 Women’s Legacy Fund awarded $10,000 to provide emergency respite care for Ventura County families in crisis.
The Ventura County Community Foundation’s Strategic Planning Institute awarded $5,000 to support a growth plan to meet the challenge of Alzheimer’s disease in the 21st century.
