City Council members gave state Sen. Ross Johnson (R-Irvine) a tour of Central Park when he visited the city recently. The city has set aside $400,000 and is also requesting state funding for an expansion of facilities in the 7.5-acre park due to a dramatic increase in use.
The primary project is the construction of a new 3,600-square-foot community center accommodating 250 to 300 people. The current community center holds 150 people. Information: (714) 690-3350.
