Sean O’Donnell scored 1:47 into overtime to give the Kings a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche in an NHL exhibition Friday night at Denver.

Luc Robitaille, Vladimir Tsyplakov and Craig Johnson added goals for the Kings, 4-2-1 in the exhibition season. Former Avalanche goaltender Stephane Fiset stopped 24 of 27 shots, but didn’t face a shot in overtime.

Milan Hejduk had tied the score for Colorado with 36 seconds left in regulation.

Jeff Odgers scored two goals for Colorado and Patrick Roy played the first two periods and stopped 22 of 24 shots in his first preseason start after undergoing hip surgery Sept. 9.

Robitaille gave the Kings a 3-2 lead at the four-minute mark of the third period with a rebound goal after Colorado backup goalie Marc Denis had stopped a shot from the slot by Rob Blake.
