Share

Judy Garey, a faculty member at Ventura College, was selected as a Carnegie scholar in the Pew National Fellowship Program, part of the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Garey is one of 40 college and university faculty members who were chosen to participate in the program, which “explores not only the teacher’s practice but also the character and depth of student learning that results from that practice.”

Each scholar receives a $6,000 stipend, plus on-site costs of summer residence at the Carnegie Foundation and interim meetings. Scholars are chosen on the basis of their work and a project proposal.
