Beat Rutgers, 64-54, in national semifinal Friday at Philadelphia.

* Key to the season: Two players, point guard Lawson and center Snow, have led the charge. Lawson, miscast as the off-guard, moved to the point after Clement had a poor game in a 78-51 loss to Georgia. At the Athens, Ga., airport that night, Coach Pat Summitt made the decision to move Lawson to the point and Clement to off-guard. With Lawson quarterbacking, Tennessee is 20-0. The 6-foot-5 Snow, after a hit-and-miss freshman season, has blossomed as an aggressive, athletic, shot-blocking center. She had seven blocks Friday against Rutgers. If Snow has her way inside against Connecticut and forces the Huskies to double team the post, look for Lawson and Clement to become factors. Major question for the Lady Vols: Can a freshman point guard guide a team to a national championship?
