PLACENTIA
Earth Week Run 2000 will take place Saturday, with three races for various ages and abilities.
The annual event, sponsored by the city of Placentia and Placentia Linda Hospital, will begin at 7:30 a.m. with an 8-kilometer run. A 5-kilometer walk/run will begin at 8:15 a.m. and a 1-kilometer “fun run” for children will start at 9:15 a.m.
All races will begin and end at the hospital parking lot, 1301 N. Rose Drive, Placentia.
Entry fees are $18 for adults in the 5K or 8K; $10 for kids 12 and younger for any of the three events. Information: (714) 993-8204 or (714) 993-8184.
