Whittier Law Dean to Retire July 1
John A. FitzRandolph is retiring as dean of Whittier Law School and vice president of legal education, school officials announced Friday.
FitzRandolph, 65, a resident of Laguna Hills, will become a professor after taking a year’s sabbatical. The school will do a national search to find a replacement, President Katherine Haley Will said.
Frederick G. Slabach, associate dean and assistant professor of law, will become interim dean on July 1.
FitzRandolph, who has taught some classes while serving as dean, joined the school’s faculty in 1976. In 1981, he was appointed dean.
