Coastal Project
Re “Growing Pains in San Clemente,” Feb. 9:
Your article was very good and touched on all the new developments coming into San Clemente.
However, you overlooked a big issue regarding the Marblehead coastal project.
This project is situated on one of the last ocean-view properties in south Orange County. Fifty-two hundred residents of San Clemente signed an initiative stating that they do not want an outlet mall on this property.
Our only hope is that we can save the canyons and wetlands on the property.
The community does not want to look like another Irvine.
That is why we settled in this little village by the sea.
