UCI Swept by UCLA in Volleyball Finale

UCLA had no trouble with UC Irvine as the fourth-ranked Bruins swept a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball finale Friday night.
The Bruins won, 15-1, 15-8, 15-10, in front of 1,661 at Pauley Pavilion.
Setter Brandon Taliaferro, a San Clemente High graduate, led the Bruins (24-5) with 46 assists. Mark Williams had 10 kills.
Ty Loomis had 13 kills and Jarrett Jensen had one ace and 26 assists for the Anteaters, who finished the season 10-17, 4-15 in the MPSF. UCLA is 24-5, 14-5.
