City Council members recently discussed their unanimous opposition to a decision to pay Orange County Fire Authority members $300 per month for attending city meetings in order to improve the authority’s attendance.
The City Council voted in favor of distributing opposition letters to cities that are a part of the Fire Authority. The council members said they believed it was an unnecessary cost and backed volunteerism.
