LAKE FOREST
The City Council could decide to lease two electric-powered trucks for code enforcement officers Tuesday.
The city would use about $30,000 from a South Coast Air Quality Management District grant to lease the trucks for three years. One of the trucks would replace a fuel-burning truck.
The city would install a device at City Hall to recharge the trucks, which produce far less pollution than gas-powered vehicles. A public electric vehicle charging station was installed last year at Home Base in Foothill Ranch.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at City Hall, 23161 Lake Center Drive.
