Shuttles to Be Offered to Hollywood Bowl

As they have done for the past 26 years, Valley residents will again be able to take county-sponsored shuttles to the Hollywood Bowl during the summer season.

Shuttles will be available starting June 23 at designated parking lots in Chatsworth and Sherman Oaks, where riders can leave their cars, said Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich.

The fee is $2.50 each way.

A uniformed Los Angeles Philharmonic security guard will be on site during operation times.

About 30% of those who attended Hollywood Bowl events last year rode a county shuttle, Antonovich said. The program, which costs about $1 million, is funded by fares from riders, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the county Department of Public Works.

Valley sites are the Metrolink station, 21510 Devonshire St., Chatsworth, and the Sunkist Building, 14130 Riverside Drive, Sherman Oaks.
