Sherwood Country Club the Site of Woods’ World Challenge Event
Tiger Woods’ tournament--the Williams World Challenge--will be played Nov 27-Dec. 3 at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks.
The $3.5-million event, which was staged over the New Year’s weekend in Scottsdale, Ariz., is a product of the Tiger Woods Foundation. The 72-hole stroke play tournament is sanctioned by the PGA Tour and features a 12-player field--10 from the world rankings and two chosen by the Foundation.
The winner will make $1 million and the least anyone will make is $120,000. Tom Lehman is the defending champion.
