* Fannie Mae Hewston; Executive Secretary
Fannie Mae “Molly” Hewston, a retired executive secretary, died Sunday at a Ventura convalescent hospital. She was 89.
She was born Oct. 15, 1910, in Montana and moved to Ventura in 1927 from Arizona.
Two years after moving to the county, she began working as an executive secretary for Tidewater Associated, a division of Getty Oil Co. She retired in 1968 after 39 years of service.
Hewston was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Ventura.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many friends, including Preston and Audrey Wickman at the Ventura Townehouse retirement home.
Services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura with Pastor Donald Dewey of the First Christian Church in Ventura officiating. Burial will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
