Waves Beat San Diego, Move Into First Place

The Waves moved into first place in the Pacific Division by defeating the San Diego Flash, 3-0, in A-League soccer Friday night in front of 1,873 at Douglas Stadium in San Diego.

Jason Boyce scored two unassisted goals and assisted on Paul Polowski’s goal five minutes into the game for the Waves. Boyce scored in the 27th and 85th minutes. Wave goalkeeper Mike Littman had five saves on 10 shots.

The Waves improved to 3-1. The Flash, last season’s Western Conference champion, is 2-1.
