SAN DIEGO —
Two men were critically injured Wednesday night after their helicopter crashed in a hilly area of the La Jolla Indian Reservation.
The crash sparked a half-acre brush fire that was quickly extinguished, said California Department of Forestry Capt. John Gruber.
The identities of the men in the private helicopter were not immediately known.
Gruber did not know where the helicopter originated or where it was headed.
The cause of the crash, about five miles west of Lake Henshaw, was not known.
