In another Sea View League game:
No. 10 Aliso Niguel 7, Newport Harbor 0--Freshman Jessica Skaare pitched a perfect game, striking out six, to help Aliso Niguel (16-7-1, 3-1) keep pace with co-leader Woodbridge. Teammate Lindsay Schafer had three hits and drove in two runs.
In the Golden West League:
Santa Ana 6, Westminster 3--Vanessa Bernal led off the game with a triple and scored, and later hit a bases-empty home run to lead host Santa Ana. Michelle Paz also homered for the Saints (7-10, 5-3).
In the South Coast League:
El Toro 1, Dana Hills 0--Krystal Hurtado’s drove in the game’s lone run with a second-inning single. Jennifer Churchill got the victory, striking out three and allowing three hits. El Toro is 6-16-1, 1-4.
Trabuco Hills 1, Capistrano Valley 0--Ashley Griffiths’ fourth-inning single drove in the game’s lone run and lifted the Mustangs (10-12, 4-1) into a first-place tie with host Capistrano Valley. The Cougars (12-10, 4-1) stranded seven runners.
San Clemente 5, Mission Viejo 0--Brooke Dixon had a double and two singles, scored two runs and drove in one for host San Clemente (10-2, 3-2).
