Carril Stable After Minor Heart Attack
Assistant coach Pete Carril of the Sacramento Kings suffered a minor heart attack Saturday, according to team physician Jeff Tanji.
Carril, 69, was taken to a Sacramento hospital at about 10 a.m. because he was not feeling well.
Tanji said Carril had complained of chest pains and was diagnosed as being in the early stages of a minor heart attack.
The former Princeton coach was expected to remain at the hospital until later this week in order to get rest and more diagnostic tests, Tanji said.
Carril was listed as stable Saturday evening.
