Free-agent center Andrei Nikolishin re-signed with the Washington Capitals, accepting the team’s minimum qualifying offer of $1.127 million for one-year, 10% more than the $1.025 million he received last year. . . . Pittsburgh forward Matthew Barnaby accepted the Penguins’ $1.1-million, one-year qualifying offer. Rene Corbet, a left wing who was a restricted free agent, also accepted a qualifying offer for $825,000. . . .
