Members of the Seal Beach Animal Care Center train volunteers to help with the no-kill policy shelter at 10:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Board of directors member Jim Welch said the summer and early fall months are a critical time when the increased population of abandoned dogs and cats requires additional center assistance.
