* Brass--Camarillo Arts Council’s summer concert series at Constitution Park will return for an Aug. 12 installment. Bluebonnet Brass will perform a varied program, including classical and big band works. Show time: 7:30 p.m. The park is at Paseo Camarillo and North Carmen Drive. Free. 987-7847.

* Movement--Moorpark College Summer Arts Festival 2000 will continue Aug. 12 with “Dancing Under the Stars,” a student dance presentation, followed by an open swing dance. The performance will be held at the campus center quad. Show time: 6:30 p.m. $10 general, $8 seniors and students, $6 ages 12 and under. The college is at 7075 Campus Road. 378-1485.

* Poet--The Arcade Poetry Series will open its new performance season Aug. 12 at Carnegie Art Museum, 424 South C St., Oxnard. Ray Clark Dickson will read from his most recent book, “Parlando: Selected Poems.” The reading will begin at 7:30 p.m. Members, free; nonmembers, $3. 385-8157.

* Critical Review--The Oxnard Art Assn. will host “Tea and Tears: A Critique by Sally Miller” on Aug. 12 at the River Ridge Golf Course Club House. Any artist is invited to bring to the event one painting and have it evaluated by Miller, an award-winning watercolor and oil painter. Hours: 1-3 p.m. Donation: $10, benefiting the art association.
