The City Council has approved activities for the 11th annual Red Ribbon Week. The activities are designed to show teenagers the dangers associated with alcohol and drug abuse.
The event will be Oct. 22-28. The city has allocated $5,000 for this year’s event.
During Red Ribbon Week a panel of speakers, including police officers, Drug Enforcement Agency representatives and students involved in the Anaheim Union High School District’s 12-step recovery program, will talk to students at Kennedy High and Walker Junior High schools.
