Forward Brian Grant has rejected a seven-year contract with Portland worth more than $90 million that would have sent him to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a sign-and-trade deal for Shawn Kemp.
Grant told the Cavaliers of his decision Thursday while on vacation in Jamaica.
The Trail Blazers and Cavaliers had arranged a deal in which Grant and another Blazer free agent, probably guard Gary Grant, would have re-signed with Portland and been traded for Kemp.

Orlando re-signed forwards Monty Williams and Bo Outlaw. Williams averaged 8.7 points and 3.3 rebounds last season. Outlaw averaged 6.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists. . . . First-round pick Hidayet Turkoglu, the first Turkish player drafted by an NBA team, signed with Sacramento. . . . Swingman Bruce Bowen re-signed with Miami. He averaged 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 27 games with the Heat.
