The Police Department announced today the appointment of four new officers: Alfred Falche, Irene Jung, Joseph Mayo and Chris Wood, who were sworn in last month. Falche earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from USC in 1993 before graduating from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Academy in 1996. His background includes working more than two years with the University of Southern California campus police and working with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
Jung comes to the Police Department with an associate’s degree in computer graphic design from Platt College. She graduated from Golden West Police Academy in February.
Mayo earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Cal State Fullerton in 1997 before graduating from the Orange County Sheriff’s Academy in 1999.
Wood worked as a reserve officer for the Ontario Police Department.
