A 36-year-old burglary suspect was arrested without incident Monday morning after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies fired bullets at his car as he accelerated toward them, authorities said.

The deputies were responding to a burglary call at about 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of 218th Street, said Sgt. Doug Fetteroll. He added that police had received reports someone was breaking into a fish market on the street.

When deputies arrived, they found Shawn Anderson, from Carson, attempting to leave, authorities said. The driver accelerated toward the deputies, who fired about five rounds at the car, police said. None of the shots hit the suspect.
